T-Rex vs Pterodactyl — first to 21 wins
↑ / W up | ↓ / S down | R restart | Touch: drag
The AI uses a two-hit lookahead with shot placement. When the ball approaches, it simulates the flight to find where it will arrive, then evaluates every reachable catch position on the paddle. For each, it calculates the return angle, simulates the opponent’s tracking, and checks whether the opponent can reach the shot. If the opponent would catch it, the AI simulates the return and plans a second shot — picking the position that scores or forces a rally it can survive.
Tap Viz to watch the AI think. A grey dashed line shows the incoming ball flight. Coloured dots on the paddle mark candidate catch positions — green for high-scoring, red for risky. A green dashed line traces the AI’s planned return shot to the opponent, with a green or red dot showing whether the opponent catches it. If a second hit is planned, a blue dashed line shows the follow-up shot.
